The über-talented guys of Foster The People (@fosterthepeople) have been making major waves lately, and no doubt they’ll keep the momentum going. “Pumped Up Kicks” was the first single off their recently released self-titled EP. “Houdini” is their newest single, and I can say without hesitation that it is pure awesomeness! It reminds me a bit of MGMT à la Oracular Spectacular, but definitely more danceable given that the beats are so steady. This song packs an amazing, full sound and it’s ultra-catchy, so you’ll be hitting the repeat button continuously.

They’ve been keeping busy the past few months. After releasing a video for “Pumped Up Kicks”, they headed on a tour that included playing SXSW for a second time. They’re currently on the tail end of that tour with Grouplove and LeSands, and will then play both Coachella and Sasquatch. Their LP, Torches, is set to be released on May 24th. Sure to be at the top of many album-priority lists over the next few months, this is the release that’ll keep people going all summer long.
