Fleet Foxes played a two-night stint at the Prospect Park bandshell last week as part of the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival. The show was absolutely breathtaking, with frontman Robin Pecknold effortlessly singing the beautiful sounds of “Helplessness Blues,” “White Winter Hymnal,” as well as songs from their latest release, Crack-Up. Fleet Foxes have an incredibly loyal following and for years it seemed like they were going to be a two-album band. Their latest album and performances have been a breath of fresh air — and quite emotional. The band seemed so happy to be playing together, and the audience was ecstatic to get to hear their live sounds again (or for the first time). It’s good to live in a world with Fleet Foxes up and at em again.
