First Aid Kit is headed back to the studio and with the help of producer Mike Mogis (of Bright Eyes) are poised to give us another stunning album. The Swedish sisters, Klara and Johanna Söderberg, have retreated to the woods of Omaha to Mogus’s ARC Studios, where they’ll be spending the next month recording.
Breaking out last year with lauded praise from NPR: All Songs Considered and SPIN for their debut release The Big Black & Blue, First Aid Kit is ready for a great follow-up. In the meantime, check out their new 7” vinyl release with Jack White’s Third Man Records. Featuring covers of Buffy Sainte-Marie’s “Universal Soldier” (made famous in 1965 by Donovan) and the classic blues standard “It Hurts Me Too”, it should tide us all over until the next release.
