Denmark’s Figurines haven’t graced our shores since 2007, but they’re headed back here this summer for a few dates on the East Coast. Maybe it’s the slightly balmy (sarcasm) weather we’re experiencing here in New York, but right now I can’t get enough of the warm, upbeat tracks on this band’s self-titled release from last September.

The music naturally lends itself to a great live show. Assuming they can kick up the fast drum beats and keep the bouncy riffs light and fun, there’s no way you could leave the venue without a smile. The distinctive voice of singer Christian Hjelm, combined with the additional strong harmonies should, if executed well, make for an excellent vocal performance as well.
