Shuffle Through The Wild Honey Pie

The following article was written by Alyson Greenfield:

I played music this weekend at FIGMENT– an amazing all-volunteer run festival on Governor’s Island. It turns Governor’s Island into a collaborative art space where each person who attends can interact with each art work (there are so many all around the island). I walked through white silk sheets, painted a picket that became part of an American Dream picket fence maze, had my portrait drawn on the inside of a matchbook by Ohio Mike (see picture), added my childhood dream to a copper wire dream tree, threw around multi-colored rose petals, planted a drawing in a doodle garden, and sang music to listeners who sat on a painted bell.
