Only a month ago, we shared our enthusiasm for Fierce Creatures’ stunning EP, I Mostri Feroci, an album that took us completely off guard. The California band was suggested to me by my buddy Patrick from the band Tennis after Fierce Creatures opened up for them. For this, thank you very much Patrick.
The burning question of the hour is what to expect from Fierce Creatures’ impending full length release. Their plan is to “release a new single with a B-side every few months.” By the end of the year, they’ll have a collection of 10 or so track which can be released as an LP on iTunes. What really gets them going is the prospect of releasing these songs as a series of made to order 7″ vinyl.
Fierce Creatures has been selected for a couple unofficial SXSW parties, so if you’re down in Austin this March, make sure to check out the band in all their glory. The first of their upcoming series of tracks, “Ships to Shore”, hit my inbox this morning, and can be streamed below. It’s fucking amazing, so check it out and bookmark the page so you can keep enjoying their goodies.
