I have been a fan of Tallest Man on Earth since last spring when I saw a video of a cover he did of These Days by Jackson Browne (my favorite singer/songwriter of all time). He is originally from Sweden, which I find interesting since he completely captures the sounds of 60s American folk (think Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground).
Anyway, he has a great EP out, and his full length album, Shallow Graves, was the soundtrack of my summer (check out The Gardener and Honey Won’t You Let Me In). He is currently on tour and to my bad luck will be playing in St. Malo, France (only a short train ride from me at the moment) when I will be in Madrid and Barcelona. Blast!
He is also releasing a new CD in a few months! Be excited. Check out his myspace (click here) page for all the tour dates and his new single King of Spain (it helps that he’s dreamy too). Here is a video of him playing The Gardener for KEXP in Seattle. Enjoy!
