Fazerdaze, is slowly but surely materializing in a dreamlike haze. With a perfect combination of downtrodden bedroom pop and killer guitar, their newest track, “Take it Slow” is a reverb-heavy, solid tune about the pace in which we live. Made up of echoing, spaced out elements, the song reminds me of the music you listen to lying on your bed on a lazy summer afternoon.
Described by director Julian Vares, as “the sonic equivalent to cut grass and wearing shorts and cracking open a cold one with the boys,” the music video, which premiered on Noisey, highlights the ease of summer in all of its glory. Having independently released an EP in 2014, the band, fronted by Amelia Murray, is anticipating their first full length, Morningside, via Flying Nun Records.
The album will be released May 5th, but, to tide us over, the band has so far shared this and new track, “Lucky Girl,” lifted from the forthcoming album.
