734 DEER TICK WANTS YOU TO DRIVE THEIR BUS

After their great 2010 album release, Deer Tick is washing their hands clean. How, you ask? By selling something close to their hearts, their 2009 tour bus that was used while supporting their album, Born on a Flag Day.

A large portion of the proceeds will be donated to Oxfam for Pakistan Flood Victims. Oxfam works with music artists to inspire and provide change internationally. The organization provides relief to those affected by natural disasters and poverty.

The band’s upcoming tour will be featuring a merch booth that will be accepting donations towards Oxfam. What good guys to help out after 17 million people have been affected by the flooding!

The bus will be up for auction for three weeks on eBay. You can check out some pics of the bus and bid on it (remember it’s for a good cause) here: http://tiny.cc/deertickbusauction. You can also elect to “buy it now” for the low price of $2000. And who wouldn’t want to rock out in a band’s tour bus? There will be more than enough room for all of your friends to fit.

These guys are very inspiring and are setting quite an example for other artists to follow. The band will be on tour through November, trekking all across the States. Hopefully this will be just the start to a trend of fellow musicians and music lovers supporting the efforts of Oxfam. Cheers!
