Day Wave played a sold out, headlining performance at Baby’s All Right this week with support from Future Generations. The show was dazzling and soothing at the same time, as these two bands filled the room with good vibes all night. Future Generations first took the stage in support of their self-titled album which came out this past summer. This band had the crowd smiling and dancing along to their sounds reminiscent of label-mates Passion Pit, all the while making the sound their own.
Afterwards Day Wave, the project of Bay Area songwriter Jackson Phillips, took the stage. He and his band played his latest, “Wasting Time,” as well as favorites like “Total Zombie” and “Drag.” The show was entrancing and lovely. It was exactly the kind of rock sounds you want to hear on a Monday night, easing you into the week. With only a few EPs under his belt, Day Wave has truly amassed a loyal following. Definitely catch his set if you can!
