The Best Indie Shows Hand-picked Each Week

brynestvincent DAVID BYRNE, ST. VINCENT, CRAFT SPELLS

Fall has finally begun, and with it, yet another wave of amazing bands are in town playing venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn.  After releasing their collab album Love This Giant two weeks ago, David Byrne and St. Vincent will put the new songs on display with three shows planned in the city this week — two at Beacon Theater and one at Williamsburg Park.  Other highlights this week? Ty Segall, Craft Spells, Dirty Projectors (in Westchester), Grizzly Bear, Dirty Projectors, Widowspeak, and Jay-Z, just to name a few. What shows are you planning on checking out?  Did we miss any?  Let us know in the comments.

Thanks for checking out our suggested New York City indie concerts list!  I won’t list everything that’s going on — just a short collection of great shows happening in our city that you shouldn’t miss this week.  To make it as easy for you as possible, you can listen to all the bands and sometimes get some free MP3s!
