Courtney Barnett rocked out at Bowery Ballroom last month, giving fans a three-night residency at the venue. Her humble nature and true passion for her music set the tone for an incredibly heartfelt performance on every level. She and her band had the crowd head-banging and dancing during songs like “History Eraser” and “Pedestrian at Best”. Then she’d bring us all to tears with her more delicate songs like “Depreston”. She has a special brutal honesty paired with a punk core that makes her a truly unique performer. Her newest album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, is a beautiful work and deserves the numerous positive reviews.
