Clear Plastic Masks’ ‘Take A Little Drag’ Video Captures Whimsical Beauty [Premiere]

With a title of an album like Nazi Hologram, it’s no surprise that Clear Plastic Masks were making a political statement. The title refers to how they felt about the seemingly endless campaign that comes to a close today. It is however, a happy coincidence that that the video for the album closing track, “Take A Little Drag,” premieres today. The track is a perfectly understated pop gem, complete with plinking piano and a casually arresting vocal. Of the video, bandleader Andrew Katz says:

“This song was written on the road and I suppose it’s about making choices in life. The video is the first and only taken from an iPhone magnetically attached to the hood of our friend’s car as the sun was going down. We had ten minutes to do it and I think it catches the fleeting nature of it all. It was really made into something beautiful with the whimsical touches laid over it by the very talented hand of Miss Kelly Ahrens.”
