CITIZENS! RELEASE UPBEAT DEBUT ALBUM

Citizens! (@gocitizens) is a well dressed, charming, five piece indie pop band from London that specializes in danceable, electronic, synthy pop music. While the term “pop music” can leave a bad taste in some mouths, the guys from Citizens! claim that “Pop is not a dirty word. It’s a holy one.” Pop music is popular for a reason, and the reason is clear in their hook laden, up-beat melodies and relevant subject matter. They sing a lot about girls and love — aptly named tracks “Girlfriend”, “Caroline”, and their contagious debut single, “True Romance”, are kind of a giveaway. Luckily for us, their debut album Here We Are was released May 28th on French label Kitsune Records. Good music goes well with good visuals, and Citizens! have a bunch of music videos accompanying their album, which you can watch on their website (one of which involves a really cute dog sort of dressed as a unicorn).
