CHECK OUT BEAR MOUNTAIN [STREAM]

Bear Mountain (@mybearmountain) originally started out as solo project in Ian Bevis’s bedroom, but friend and collaborator Kyle Statham soon joined to enhance their live shows, where the band simultaneously DJs and performs. While the group is regularly referred to as a duo, Doug Wells and Greg Bevis also perform on the band’s recently released debut LP XO, undoubtably contributing to the band’s lush sound.

Though self tagged on their Bandcamp page as “electronic”, “indie”, and “pop”, their use of worldly beats, samples of old film dialogue and layers of synths seems to transcend labels, blending together a plethora of genres. As Bear Mountain’s website suggests, “Their approach to the traditional “indie-pop” genre is unmistakably fresh, and powerfully captivating”.
