BRAHMS, the Brooklyn band who the NY Press said, “have already cultivated the sound, the look, and the connections combined that could put a name not heard in the context of new music since the 19th century back in popular circulation” has taken New York City venues by storm. For example, the band had two weeks to prepare a supporting set for a sold out Passion Pit show at Terminal 5. This may seem an easy feat except for the fact that the band formed a mere month before.

Since this revolutionary Terminal 5 set, the band has been praised for their self-made demo including the loopy synth of Subtext is Deadly, the New Order cover of Toward the Ghost or the banging tones of Another Time (which are available for download here). The songs will also be available on BRAHMS‘ upcoming debut LP, which, as of right now, will seem to incorporate everything from manic piano melodies to dubstep loops to even possibly some songs inspired by Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly (guitarist/singer Drew Robinson majorly digs them). Catch BRAHMS on tour with Tokyo Police Club and Passion Pit starting on June 7 through select dates in August.
