BESTSHOWCASES 526x263 BEST SXSW 2011 MUSIC SHOWCASES

Holy goddam shit.  It’s already SXSW time, which means I’ll be down in Austin, sprinting from venue to venue to catch all of my favorite bands and getting blown away by bands I had no idea existed.  Beautiful.  If you decided to shell out the dough for a $700 plastic necklace that will get you into all of the official SXSW showcases, this list is for you.  Sure, there’s the iPhone app and the schedule pamphlet, but there’s still a ton of shows down there and it can quickly become info overload.  If you’re like me and wished there was an abridged version of the schedule that I could even add to Outlook or iCal, you’re in luck.  A word of caution, there are some amazing showcases not on this list, so explore Austin and find whatever’s right for you.  This guide should help though!
