Sail (Remix) – Zeale Sail (Remix) – Zeale (Free Download)

The reactions I’ve gotten to “Sail” have been relatively polarized. People either get completely lost in how unique and noteworthy the tracks is, like me, or can’t bear listening to it. Lucky for AWOLNATION, the camp of content listeners far exceeds those who don’t understand why this song is amazing.

Even now, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly why the track struck me like it did. Perhaps it was the incredible texture of the underlying bass, the light synth riff interspersed throughout, or the desperate, genuine vocals that force you to take a step back. All these elements combined, though, form a fantastic listening experience, and hearing it blasted loudly through bass heavy speakers completely blew me away.

Zeale, a rapper from Austin, has also done some amazing things with this song and with AWOLNATION. In addition to providing freestyle entertainment at their show when AWOLNATION’s gear was malfunctioning, he remixed “Sail” and made it available free for anyone to download. The video of the freestyle session is below…and it’s incredible.
