Camellia Hartman

Camellia Hartman

Beginning with classical violin studies at age 5 in the East Village, Camellia grew up basking in the melodies of Mozart, the Velvet Underground, and everything in between. Though Camellia’s achilles heel may indeed be rich arrangements of funky horns and succulent strings, she enjoys finding aural delight in unexpected places. After spending a year in Montreal writing about erotic experimental film and post-modern musicals, Camellia has returned to her home in NYC to hang out with some Tompkins Square Crusties, groan about rising Metrocard prices, eat a good slice of pizza, and, of course, share the sounds of the city with those around her.
