For those of you who are unaware, the Shout Out Louds hail from Stockholm, Sweden. I am sorry to inform you, dear beautiful readers, that this album does not Work for me. Haha, ok all drama and theatrics aside, the album does have some pretty cool sounding tracks on it. It’s not all just noise!

I was really into the album’s fifth track, The Candle Burned Out. It is a melodious, steady paced song that really captures a lot of emotion and feeling. I found that after this track the album started to get a little better.

The very next track Throwing Stones, was really catchy and I could already picture it being used in some sort of cheesy car commercial or something. Overall the album receives 2.5 out of 5 bees, based on the uneasy vocals, and non-flowing nature of the song list.

To be honest, they’re not one of my favorite bands, and this is not one of my favorite albums. But don’t be a hater like me. Music is a form of expression. So if you want to hear some swedish expression, take a listen to the Shout Out Loud’s newest album entitled Work.
