The last time we checked in with A Million Years during CMJ, they were embarking on a journey down to Myrtle Beach to open for Phoenix. Not long after this amazing opportunity, they were asked to join Jesse Malin on a winter tour throughout Europe, and were able to graciously accept the offer thanks to many generous Kickstarter donations.

The hits just keep coming for these talented guys, seeing as they managed to completely sell out last Friday’s first back-in-NYC show of 2011 at Mercury Lounge an entire week ahead of time! After an energetic opening set from Philadelphia’s Zelazowa, the four hometown heroes of A Million Years launched their late show with “Holy Ghost Town” and continued to rock the wildly packed room with tracks off their incredible album Mischief Maker, and even let a new song make its way to the set list. Afterwards, frontman Keith Madden went from singer to DJ as they took over Mercury Lounge completely for a post-show dance party.

Whether or not you were lucky enough to snag a ticket and make it out to this awesome event, you can score some bonus A Million Years content by downloading their BSIDES_RMXS EP, or hit up Bowery Presents for tickets to their show at Webster Hall on March 29th, opening for Klaxons.
