Pittsburgh-based 1,2,3 is refreshing, upbeat and gritty. A dance between rock riffs and easygoing vocals, their sound strikes a balance between exploration and consistency that isn’t easy to accomplish. I’d go so far as to say they’re avant-garde in their risk-taking confidence (oh, zing).
Freshly signed to Frenchkiss Records and with a new single brewing on the internet, we can expect to see a lot more of 1,2,3 over the coming months. The first track from their new LP, “Work”, is a flow between raspy and falsetto vocals that mimic the crashing drums and piercing guitar as the boys chant about a middle class lifestyle. It all works incredibly well together.
Their full-length, New Heaven, is due out on June 21st.
